Born in Praia do Rosa, Santa Catarina, Brazil on 11-10-1988, the twenty two year old pioneer finds himself living amongst South Miami Beach for the past two years searching for the next obstacle to shred. Although he mainly spends most of his time getting footage, Guiri admits that competing has definitely always been part of his interest in the sport. When we asked him about the difference between his interest in competing compared to trying to get footage; “You know its been ten years since I’ve been skateboarding now, and from the beginning it was always something I’ve done for fun. Although competing has its exciting factor’s, the pressure of competitions themselves tend to take away from the whole reason for which skateboarding exist. It is one man, one board and his one world.”
